It's not wordpress or the RTE that's doing it, it's in the HTML spec.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Still bloody annoying though!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For the record I would recommend turning off the RTE as soon as you can through your options.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;When you get fed up of Performancing (I did), try W Bloggar.
