It is indeed a shame that it wasn't an all English final in the Champions League.

Despite being female I like to think I know a little about football and having watched Man U's second leg against AC Milan, I don't think I've seen a worse bit of football since the Paul Robinson own goal debacle ;)

Indeed, my only (small) consolation is that the nightmares about Robbie Fowler netting the winner in a penalty shootout of the Champions League Final and holding 6 fingers aloft have now subsided.

I was wondering a couple of years back whether the hundred points for a season was crackable. I suspect it is, but rather than being indicative of 'high standards' being set by Chelsea, I think it is more suggestive of the gulf between the top (four) clubs and the rest of the Premiership.
PS. I follow Arsenal and my wife Liverpool. My nightmare involves both teams in a Champions League final. Any result would be...uncomfortable

Agree about the void between the top 4 and the rest.

Arsenal were undefeated (12 draws) in 2003/2004 and won the league with 90 points. Where did they lose that fantastic record ?

If only Arsenal hadn't beaten United home and away this season, we would have 8 more points (96 with 2 to play).

Still, if my Auntie had a beard, she'd be my Uncle :-)
