Comments for 'Blog in isolation': readers of Oracle blog aggregators unite (and take over) - Digging in a Habari sandpit

    Andy:

I like your blog, that's why I include it in my aggregator. If other people don't like it they can move along. :)

Don't let it get you down. I'm sure you won't, but I want to say it anyway.

    Cheers

    Tim...

If nominated, I will not accept. If aggregated, I will not serve. (Seriously, my blog only deals with Oracle about 2% of the time, special events excluded.)

"Roger Howard" left some comments on my blog and stated that he did not object to the off-topic nature of the meme, but the propagation itself. It sounds like there may be two stories (or perhaps eight) floating around about the objectionable nature of the meme.

@Chedlee: Correction: I *have* slept with one person on my blogroll. It appears it was an entirely forgettable experience. Still on for next Tuesday, Doug ?

@Ontario Emperor: Possible pseudonym alert. You'll have to try harder than that :-)

I think you'll find world class bloggers are chosen (not nominated(.

@Tim: You're right. I will try not to let the whole affair drag me down.

How hilarious of you to get my name wrong, Cilly Andy.

How cunning of you to imply that I sent you an email complaining of your off-topic posts when I did nothing of the sort.

How inevitable of you to completely ignore the fact that whether your content is on or off-topic is and never was the point. Inconveniencing the many people that use ALL Oracle blog aggregators by deliberately engineering a would-be exponential flood of content, of whatever nature, was and is, however.

Anyway, you don't need to worry about being dragged down, Andy. It's nigh-on impossible to be dragged any lower than the bottom of the gutter, after all. And at least you'll have Tim to keep you company.

Still on for next Tuesday, Doug ?

I would have been, if I'd known!
