    Andy, wow!

Thanks a million for listing me in your list of top 10 UK and Irish blogs!

Well, I can safely say that's the first time I've ever been accused of writing soft porn! That quite made my morning and gave me a much needed giggle at work, thank you. However, I can assure you that Bright Meadow is totally safe for work. Thanks at least for giving me a quick look.

And thanks as well for sharing those other blogs. I'm always on the lookout for other things to read.

Ah, c’mon, even my blog is not as bad as the Daily Mail. I like to think it’s a little more considered. Not difficult, I know.

But you’re right in that there were too many right-ish blogs on the list. Whether that’s because Americans tend to gravitate towards such blogs or whether it’s just coincidence, I don’t know. I’ve no idea how the shortlist was drawn up. I didn’t even know I was on the list until the contest was well under way.

Any list of good UK blogs should surely include left-ish sites like Harry’s Place and Pickled Politics. I’ve don’t know why they weren’t even given a look in.
